Allu Arjun Announces Rs 25 Lakhs for Pushpa Stampede Victim
Hyderabad: Extending financial assistance of Rs 25 lakh to the bereaved family members of Revati who died in the stampede at Sandhya theatre during a ‘Pushpa-2’ show in Chikkadpally, the film’s lead actor Allu Arjun on Friday expressed grief at the incident.
Arjun released a video on his social media platform expressing his condolences to Revathi’s family. "I want to assure them they are not alone in this pain and will meet the family personally. While respecting their need for space to grieve, I stand committed to extend every possible assistance to help them navigate through this challenging journey (sic)," Arjun said.
The actor stated that the film crew did not celebrate the success of ‘Pushpa-2’ due to the tragedy. He said he would help Revanti’s son Sri Tej, listed in a critical condition, by taking care of his medical expenses.
In a statement, a private hospital on Friday said that the MRI brain of Sri Tej was showing changes of perinatal insult, with no new hypoxic changes with CT chest showing changes related to aspiration.
Sri Tej was on mechanical ventilator requiring minimal settings and minimal inotropic support, neurologically improving with no clinical seizures, said Dr Chetan R. Mundada, senior consultant pediatric critical care and pediatrics.
