CM Revanth Reddy in Davos, launches 'Invest in Telangana' campaign
Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy attending the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos had a meeting with WEF president Borge Brende. The two leaders discussed how governments, businesses, and other stakeholders can work together to improve human conditions for a better life and make the planet more sustainable.
Revanth, who met global business leaders to attract investments to Telangana, launched 'Invest in Telangana' campaign at Davos. He briefed the priorities of the newly-formed Congress government in the state and explained the enormous investment opportunities available, especially in IT, ITeS, biosciences, pharma, and defense sectors. Revanth urged investors to tap the potential. He also highlighted Telangana as the most preferred destination for investments with its industry-friendly and investor-friendly policies and conducive business environment.
The chief minister along with the minister for IT and industries D.Sridhar Babu met Nasscom president Debjani Ghosh and discussed the way forward for renewed focus on skill development in Telangana. They deliberated on making college students of Telangana, both from engineering and conventional degree courses more value-driven and employable.
During his trip to Davos till January 19, Revanth will meet heads of companies like Novartis, Medtronic, AstraZeneca, Google, Uber, Mastercard, Bayer, LDC and UPL, among others, to seek investments in the state. He would also hold discussions with officials from Indian firms, including Tata, Wipro, HCL Tech, JSW, Godrej, Airtel, and Bajaj.
