Development Plan for Madhira on the Anvil: Bhatti
Khammam: Deputy chief minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu on Tuesday said that the development plan was being prepared inviting suggestions from all the parties for the all-round development of the Madhira Assembly constituency.
Addressing an all-party meeting on the development plan, Bhatti said the outer ring road and the underground drainage system were identified as crucial works to be taken up immediately while the focus would be laid on setting up of agriculture-based industries and widening of the tank bund at Ambarpet in the constituency.
Steps would be taken for the modernisation of the Jalumudi, Kattaleru, and Pandregupalli irrigation projects and completion of the works on the left and right canals, he said.
The Deputy Chief Minister expressed happiness over the participation of all parties including Congress, BJP, TD, CPI and CPM in the meeting and gave their suggestions for the development of the Assembly constituency.
DCC president P.Durga Prasad, former MLC Potla Nageshwar Rao, Municipal Chairman Mondithoka Latha, vice- chairman Sheelam Vidya Latha, Congress senior leaders Soramshetti Kishore, Vemireddy Srinivas, Kona Dhani Kumar, munugoti Venkateshwarlu and TD leaders Dr Ramanatham, Malladi Hanumnatharao, Marneti Pullarao, BJP leaders Eluri Nageshwar Rao, Papatla Ramesh CPI leaders Bejawada Ravi, CPM leader Manda Saidulu were present.
