9th Grade Girl's Murder: Four Police Teams Deployed to Arrest Accused, says HM Anitha

Visakhapatnam: Four police teams have been deployed to arrest the accused in the murder of the 9th-grade girl student at Koppu Gunda Palem in Anakapalle district, state Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha has said.

"Appropriate actions will be taken in the event of any negligence on the part of the police," she said, adding that she was in touch with the SP of Ankapalle to speed up the investigations. The police have shifted the girl's body to the mortuary for a post-mortem.

Anitha was the chief guest at the talent contest programme organised by the Progressive Recognized Teachers' Union (PRTU) in Anakapalle on Sunday. She felicitated the students who achieved the highest marks in Class 10 at the government school.

Notable attendees at the event included local MP, CM Ramesh, MLA Konatala Ramakrishna, and former MLA Peela Govindu.
