Vijayawada: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) filed a petition in the Andhra Pradesh High Court challenging the order of ACB’s special court refusing its appeal to give custody of former minister Jogi Ramesh’s son Rajeev and mandal surveyor Ajmeera Ramesh in a case of irregularities in AgriGold lands. A single judge bench headed by Justice B.V.L.N. Chakravarthi held a hearing on the plea on Thursday.

The ACB in its petition appealed to the Court to strike off the order of ACB special court stating that it was very essential to inquire the two accused in the case and to get key information pertaining to the issue. The High Court served notices to both the respondents Rajeev and Ramesh and posted the hearing to next week.
Moreover, the ACB also challenged the ACB special court’s order to grant bail to Rajeev and Ramesh in the same case and asked for striking off the order. After hearing the case, the Court ordered the registry to place the case for hearing as per roster.
