AI to Be Used for Building Amaravati: Minister Narayana
Vijayawada: Municipal administration and urban development minister P. Narayana underlined that they are involving experts in artificial intelligence while planning the construction of AP’s capital Amaravati.
He disclosed that the state government will finalise all tenders and restart the construction work at Amaravati from January. He said the government has formed two committees to give suggestions for construction of the capital. The committees will give their reports by the end of this month. The reports will be put before the AP cabinet for approval.
Narayana, however, clarified that no changes are being made in the designs of roads and buildings in Capital Amaravati.
Speaking to reporters after participating in a one-day training programme on data profiling app organised by MEPMA self-help societies at Vijayawada on Wednesday, the minister maintained that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will give high priority to members of Dwacra and MEPMA. “Our target is to double the income of each member of Dwacra and MEPMA in the state,” he declared.
Narayana underlined that data profiling is essential if schemes of the state government are to properly reach the targeted poor people. He said data will provide clarity on what scheme should be provided to whom.
The minister accused the previous government of neglecting self-help societies. He pointed out that even TIDCO houses had not been provided to the intended beneficiaries among the poor.
Narayana said data related to members of the self-help groups will be profiled using the app by November. The entire database will be ready by the end of December, he maintained.
