Vijayawada: Nellore rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy has urged the state government allot 60 minutes each day to YSRC chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to speak in the assembly to ensure his regular attendance.
Otherwise, he might continue to skip the assembly sessions, he said.
Sridhar Reddy, a three-time MLA who won the polls twice on YSRC ticket but later quit the party, won his third consecutive term from the Nellore rural assembly constituency in the 2024 elections as a TD candidate.
Speaking to the media in the assembly lobby on Monday, Sridhar Reddy said it had been a long time since he met Jagan Reddy.
On a satirical note, Sridhar Reddy said Jagan might attend the assembly if he is given a written assurance that he would be allotted an hour a day to speak and that nobody would interrupt him during his address.
Reddy said, ”Jagan prefers to speak exclusively and normally does not allow other MLAs from his party to have their say in the assembly.”
