Amaravati: The farmers and villagers of Amaravati have finally ended their 1631-day long protest against the three capitals proposed by the previous government after Telugu Desam chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu took oath as the Chief Minister here on Wednesday.

It is known that farmers of the capital region have been on protest for the last 1,631 days demanding that Amaravati be continued as the only capital for Andhra Pradesh. Farmers have been fighting since Jagan Mohan Reddy announced three capitals for the state.
On Wednesday, farmers and the people of Amaravati have expressed joy and happiness after Chandrababu took oath as the Chief Minister. They said they were confident that Amaravati would get back its past glory with the coalition government. Expressing their gratitude to everyone who had supported their protest, the villagers and farmers said they would remove the protest camps in the next few days.
