Anantapur’s Bisathi Bharath shortlisted for Russian prize

Anantapur: Bisathi Bharath, a social worker from Kandikapula village in Putlur mandal of Anantapur district, has been shortlisted for the prestigious “We are Together International Prize” of the Russian Federation.

The prize encourages citizens and organisations throughout the world who work on humanitarian issues. Last year, the prize went to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Bisathi Bharath has been shortlisted for the prize under the category of Equal Opportunities, Social Justice and Youth Development. He will be travelling to Russia for the award ceremony on December 5, 2024, when the name of the award winner will be announced. All the arrangements for him are being made by the hosts in Russia.

Bharath thanked the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, and members of his Pragati Padham Youth Association, for their support since 2012 for taking up various social activities.
