Andhra Governor Celebrates Uttarakhand Foundation Day in Raj Bhavan
Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer has participated as chief guest in the celebrations of Uttarakhand Foundation Day held at Durbar Hall in Raj Bhavan here on Saturday.
Addressing the gathering, the Governor said Uttarakhand is rich in natural resources and has magnificent Himalayas. He added that the state is popularly known as Dev Bhoomi, the land of Gods, due to the presence of some ancient temples like Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, Yamunotri and the Char-Dhams.
The Governor said the ‘Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat’ programme aims to forge a strong relationship and bonding among all the people of the country and will also promote mutual understanding among the different states and Union Territories through the concept of ‘One Nation-One People.’
The programme began with playing of a video message from the Governor of Uttarakhand Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Gurmit Singh and was followed by traditional folk dance by the students.
Make good use of the Union Government’s National MSME Cluster Outreach programme
The jewellery entrepreneurs were asked to make good use of the national MSME Cluster Outreach programme by Chander Mohan Minocha, the chief general manager (HR) Union Bank of India, Mumbai, during his address at the gold jewellery cluster entrepreneurs’ meet at Vijayawada on Saturday.
After the meeting, Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman has interacted live with the MSME entrepreneurs from 195 centres across the nation.
A. Sudhakar, joint director, Industries department, AP, delivered the guest speaker address. D. Srinivasa Rao, CMD, Sri Vishwakarma Goldsmiths Pvt Ltd spoke as the representative of the gold jewellery trade association explaining about the jewellery industry at Machilipatnam. M. Sridhar, regional head, Union Bank of India, and Harish Betha, deputy regional head, Union Bank of India, Vijayawada, explained the initiatives taken by the Union government for the growth and development of MSME units.
Several jewellery entrepreneurs, including traders and manufacturers, participated in the meet organised by the department of financial services, Government of India, in coordination with SLBC of AP under the national MSME cluster outreach programme of the Union government. The Union Bank of India is the convener of SLBC AP.
