Andhra Pradesh: Cops recover property worth Rs 2.31 lakh

Visakhapatnam: The Anakapalli district police have arrested multiple suspects and recovered property worth Rs 2.31 lakh in a series of operations across Payakaraopeta and Parawada police stations.
In Payakaraopeta, two persons were apprehended near the RTC complex and water tank. They recovered 8 grams of gold, 2.120 kg of silver, 2 kg of brass, 15 pairs of clothes, a home theatre system, two television sets, and iron pellets weighing 1,240 kg.
One of the primary suspects, a resident of Maharani Street, Marripalem, Visakhapatnam, has a history of 48 theft cases across Kancharapalem, Vizianagaram, Pendurthi, Kadiam, and Srikakulam areas. He was convicted in 20 of these cases. The second accused, from Gelam Street, Payakaraopeta Mandal, has four cases registered against him.
In a separate operation, Parawada police arrested an accused from Gonnuanipalem Village and recovered a gold chain weighing 2 tolas, a gold finger ring, silver bracelets weighing 10 tolas, and a mobile phone. The accused was also wanted in two motorcycle theft cases.
SP Tuhin Sinha commended the investigating teams including inspector Appanna of Payakaraopeta, CCS inspector Appalanayudu, Paravada inspector Mallikarjuna Rao, along with the Clues team and IT core staff.
