Andhra Pradesh: Dola Promises Pensions for All Eligible

 Kurnool: Social welfare minister Dola Sri Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy has announced that the state government is taking proactive measures to ensure that all eligible individuals receive their pensions. Speaking at the Idi Manchi Prabhutvam programme in Kondapi on Wednesday, the minister explained that, starting from 1st October, Gram Sabhas will initiate a selection process to identify and approve pension beneficiaries.

During his address, the minister stated that within the first hundred days of their administration, the government has sanctioned funds for the construction of three social welfare hostel buildings, amounting to Rs 10 crores in the district. Additionally, Rs 13 lakhs were allocated for the residential school in Kondapi, and Rs 14 lakhs were earmarked for the social welfare hostel. He also mentioned that a total of Rs 143 crores have been approved for constructing cement roads and side canals under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme in the district. Furthermore, the minister announced that five electricity substations have been sanctioned at a cost of Rs 15 crores.

District Collector Thameem Ansaria added that skill development programmes are being organised to benefit unemployed youth in the district. He mentioned that Housing Day is celebrated every Saturday, and steps are being taken to ensure that beneficiaries of sanctioned housing build their homes swiftly. Ongole RDO Subbareddy, District Panchayat Officer Usharani, Joint Director of Agriculture Srinivasa Rao, and other officials participated.
