Andhra Pradesh: JS Urges SIT Probe Into Land Grabs, Murder and Corruption in Vizag
Visakhapatnam: Jana Sena leader Peethala Murthy Yadav wrote to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan, home minister Vangalapudi Anitha and DIG, urging them to order a probe into a series of illegal activities concerning land and financial accumulation in Visakhapatnam. He also sought formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the irregularities.
In his letter, Yadav highlighted serious accusations stemming from a communication he received from Kola Venkata Hemanth Kumar Yadav, an inmate at Visakhapatnam Central Jail and an accused in the kidnapping of former MP M.V.V. Satyanarayana’s family.
He mentioned incidents of kidnappings, extortions, murders and land theft, implicating Satyanarayana, his chartered accountant Gannamaneni Venkateswara Rao and high-ranking officials from the previous government, including Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy and Rajya Sabha member V. Vijayasai Reddy.
He emphasised the need for a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to delve into these allegations, particularly concerning the murder of tahsildar Ramaniah and the mysterious deaths linked to significant financial transactions and road accidents in the area.
Yadav has urged the authorities to consider the evidence provided by the jail inmate, asserting that the revelations are crucial for uncovering a broader network of corruption and violence that has persisted under the previous administrations.
