Andhra Pradesh: Large Cape Vessel Docks at Krishnapatnam Port

The Adani Krishnapatnam Port in Nellore welcomed its first Cape Vessel, MV Yan Li, at berth no. 3 on Wednesday. The successful docking marks the first time a vessel of this size has anchored at the newly dredged berth. (Twitter)

 Tirupati: The Adani Krishnapatnam Port in Nellore welcomed its first Cape Vessel, MV Yan Li, at berth no. 3 on Wednesday. The successful docking marks the first time a vessel of this size has anchored at the newly dredged berth.

The Cape Vessel, measuring 288.88 metres in length and 17.48 metres in depth, arrived carrying 1.5 lakh metric tonnes of coal from South Africa. The marine team of the Krishnapatnam Port efficiently moored the massive ship at berth no. 3.

To commemorate this achievement, Port CEO G.J. Rao conducted special prayers upon the vessel's arrival. Port officials, including COO Rajan Babu, captain Rajit Garg, Captain Sahu, head corporate affairs G. Venugopal, admin head Ganesh Sharma, and heads of various departments were present.
