Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council Passes Four Bills

Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council has passed four Government Bills here on Thursday.
They include: The Andhra Pradesh Excise (Amendment) Bill, 2024; The Andhra Pradesh (Regulation of Trade in Indian Made Foreign Liquor, Foreign Liquor) (Amendment) Bill, 2024; The Andhra Pradesh Prohibition (Amendment) Bill, 2024 and The Andhra Pradesh Appropriation Bill, 2024. All these four Bills were passed earlier by the Assembly.
The Council has also adopted a government resolution moved by the minister of law and justice and minority welfare Nasyam Mohammad Farook. The resolution is, “The Legislative Council of Andhra Pradesh having met on November 21, 2024 at Amaravati, unanimously resolves that a permanent bench of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh be set up at Kurnool and further resolves that necessary proposals in this regard be sent to the Government of India in due consultation with the High Court of Andhra Pradesh.”
