Vijayawada: Excise minister Kollu Ravindra on Wednesday asserted that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is ensuring a dignified life for backward classes by implementing all aspects within the BC Declaration.

He made the assertion at a function organised at the BC Welfare Building in Gollapudi, Vijayawada, after Chilakalapudi Papa Rao took office as chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Agnikula Kshatriya Welfare and Development Corporation. Others who attended the ceremony included government whip Bommidi Nayakar and former Rajya Sabha member Mopidevi Venkataramana.

The minister assured that BC communities will have a bright future with the

current coalition government allocating Rs 39,007 crore for the welfare of backward classes. He underlined that the establishment of the Agnikula Kshatriya Corporation with 15 executive members shows that both Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan have consistently supported Agnikula Kshatriyas.

Speaking on the occasion, government whip Nayakar criticised the previous government for establishing corporations for BCs without allocating funds.

Former Rajya Sabha member Venkataramana commended the TD-BJP-Jana Sena government for ensuring justice to BCs and encouraging backward class leaders who work diligently towards achieving higher goals.

The new Agnikula corporation chairman Papa Rao vowed to travel across the state shortly to address the concerns of backward communities, thereby honouring the trust placed in him by the leadership of the coalition government.
