Kurnool: Prakasam police on Saturday arrested six persons in connection with a case involving a woman who allegedly killed her husband and tried to give it a suicide look. The incident took place at Podili in Prakasam district on August 2.

The deceased, Challa Venkata Narendra Babu, 40, worked as a PF inspector and resided in Podili town. He had married Bommineni Lakshmi Priya, 26.

Eight months ago, Narendra Babu's son fell into a side drain and Konda Sasi Kumar saved the boy. Since then, a relationship developed between Lakshmi Priya and Sasi Kumar.

They planned to eliminate Narendra Babu. Lakshmi Priya provided gold ornaments to engage professional killers. As planned, Lakshmi Priya and Sasi Kumar, along with four hired killers, strangled Narendra Babu with a rope, killing him on the spot.

Suspecting Lakshmi Priya's involvement, police thoroughly investigated the case and arrested six persons on Saturday. SP A.R. Damodar appreciated police personnel who carried out the investigation.
