Visakhapatnam: YSRC on its X platform has alleged that Andhra University Registrar M. James Stephen had received threat calls from one Madhav Reddy and the he was told to immediately resign from his post and move to a foreign country. Though a police complaint was lodged, no action has been taken, the YSRC said.

“Under the leadership of N. Chandrababu Naidu, the TD goons were unleashing terror,” it said. When enquired, the Three Town police station inspector K. Parthasarathi said he had received a complaint from the university authorities and immediately contacted Madhav Reddy, who made the calls from Hyderabad. When asked why he made calls, Madhav Reddy replied that the registrar embezzled funds and due to his corruption many students had ended their lives.

“I told Madhav Reddy to come to the police station and bring documentary proof of the Registrar's corrupt activities,’’ the inspector told this correspondent on Tuesday.
