Visakhapatnam: Adivasi leaders have submitted a memorandum to ASR district collector demanding early completion of the greenfield national highway and road widening in Paderu, the district headquarters.

Andhra Pradesh Tribal Joint Action Committee (APAJAC) convener Ramarao Dora asked the collector to complete the 516E greenfield highway as per the government's proposal.
The Adivasi leader demanded strict action against non-tribal people, who have occupied government lands on either side of the roads in Paderu, built shops and are now obstructing road widening works with the help of political leaders.
“We request the authorities to register SC, ST atrocity cases against these non-tribals,” Dora stated.
He pointed out that after creation of ASR district, traffic and population have increased in Paderu, necessitating the building of basic infrastructure like drainage systems and street lights, for which road widening is essential.
