AP Cabinet Approves Projects Worth Rs 2,733 Cr for Amaravati

Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu sanctioned projects worth ₹2,733 crore for Amaravati, along with two works approved in the 44th meeting of the CRDA. It also approved the Municipal Act Amendment Ordinance, transferring the authority for issuing building permits and layouts to municipalities through an amendment to the law.

Additionally, the Cabinet approved the creation of 19 new posts in the Pithapuram Area Development Authority. It also sanctioned the expansion of the ESI hospital in Tirupati to 100 beds and the construction of another 100-bed ESI hospital in Prathipadu mandal, Guntur district.
The State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) investment proposals amounting to ₹1,82,162 crore were also approved. Discussions were held regarding the establishment of a BPCL refinery in Ramayapatnam and a green ammonia plant in Kakinada. The Cabinet gave its nod to set up wind and solar power plants in Nandyal, YSR, and Kurnool districts.
The meeting also deliberated on allocating land for establishing a Home Ministry IR battalion in Chittoor district.
