AP CM Launches One Family – One Entrepreneur Policy for Economic Growth
Tirupati: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has launched the ambitious “One Family – One Entrepreneur” policy, aiming to empower every family in the state through the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI).
“This ambitious initiative is set to reshape the state's economic landscape by fostering a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation,” he said.
Naidu unveiled the policy alongside the announcement of an innovation hub to be developed near Tirupati and Renigunta, spanning 10 acres of land. Inspired by industrialist Ratan Tata’s vision, the hub aims to stimulate industrial growth and create opportunities for youth to become successful entrepreneurs.
Speaking to media at Naravaripalle on Tuesday, the Chief Minister emphasised that this policy would not only empower families to become self-sufficient but also drive Andhra Pradesh’s overall economic development. "By encouraging AI adoption, the policy will equip citizens with the skills and tools necessary to thrive in the rapidly evolving digital economy". he stated.
Naidu highlighted the technological advancements his government is making, particularly with the launch of WhatsApp governance. This initiative is set to deliver over 150 public services—ranging from Aadhaar and caste certificates to land records—directly to citizens’ phones by January 18. "This initiative will eliminate the need for people to visit government offices and make these services more accessible and convenient," he stated.
Elaborating on the broader vision of Swarnandhra Pradesh Vision 2047, which focuses on building a wealthy, healthy and happy society, Chandrababu said, "Our government is committed to ensuring individual happiness, family well-being, and societal prosperity."
Reflecting on the success of his previous Vision 2020, he credited it with helping states like Telangana achieve the highest per capita income in the country and nurturing a generation of successful Telugu entrepreneurs globally.
Addressing the challenges posed by an aging population and declining fertility rates, Naidu called for incentives to encourage larger families, pointing out that this issue is a global concern. "Several European nations, Japan, and South Korea are now facing aging population issues due to low fertility rates after incentivising family planning," he explained.
Naidu cautioned that India could face similar challenges if it continues restricting family size, but he believes that appropriate policies can help the nation achieve demographic dividends in future. He further suggested that while politicians were once barred from contesting local elections for having more children, there may soon be a need for rules to prohibit those with fewer children from running for office.
