Naidu’s Brother Ramamurthy Dies at 72

Vijayawada: Nara Ramamurthy Naidu, the younger brother of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, passed away on Saturday at the age of 72 due to cardiac arrest. He was undergoing treatment on external life support at AIG Hospital in Hyderabad when his condition worsened, leading to his demise in the afternoon. Arrangements are underway for his last rites, which will be conducted on Sunday at his native village, Naravari Palli.

Ramamurthy had a prominent political career, serving as the Chandragiri MLA from 1994 to 1999 as a TD member. After a brief stint with the Congress in 2002, he returned to the TD before retiring from active politics due to health issues. He is survived by his two sons, Nara Girish and Tollywood actor Nara Rohit.
