AP CS Holds Meeting Over President Murmu’s Visit to AIIMS, Mangalagiri

Vijayawada: AP chief secretary Neerabh Kumar Prasad instructed officials to make fool-proof arrangements for the visit of President Draupadi Murmu to AP on December 17.

The President is arriving to participate in the first convocation of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Mangalagiri.

Reviewing the preparations for Murmu’s visit with officials of various departments at the secretariat in Velagapudi in Amaravati on Tuesday, the CS ordered that all arrangements be made as per the protocol to ensure the success of the visit.

According to the tentative programme, Draupadi Murmu will arrive at the Gannavaram International Airport on December 17 at 11:20 a.m. in a special Indian Air Force plane. She will leave by road and reach Mangalagiri AIIMS at 12:05 p.m. She will participate in the first convocation of AIIMS, and return to Gannavaram Airport.

Neerabh Kumar underlined that the AP Governor, Chief Minister, central and state ministers and other dignitaries will be participating in the visit of the President of India. Officials must make effective arrangements accordingly.

Those who attended the meeting included the special chief secretary (Medical and Health) M.T. Krishnababu, AP DGP Ch. Dwaraka Tirumala Rao, collectors of Krishna, NTR and Guntur districts and several other officials from various departments.
