AP Expands Gokulam Sheds Scheme to Aid Rural Livestock Owners
Kurnool: Roads and buildings minister B.C. Janardhan Reddy relaunched the Gokulam Sheds Scheme to aid small and marginal farmers dependent on livestock. Inaugurating the sheds under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) in Thimmapuram village, he mentioned that the scheme, initially introduced by the previous TD government, was discontinued by the YSRC government. However, under Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan’s leadership, it has been revived.
The scheme aims to provide shelter for livestock, ensuring farmers’ economic stability. Minister Janardhan Reddy thanked Pawan Kalyan for his efforts and confirmed its expansion to more farmers, focusing on those with less than 5 acres of land.
