AP intends to overhaul system to redress public grievances, dispenses with title ’Spandana’

Chief Secretary Neerabh Kumar Prasad issued a memo here on Friday directing the district collectors to conduct the grievance receipt and redressal system with generic name-‘Public Grievance Redressal System’ and dispense with the existing title ‘Spandana’ with immediate effect.

The memo said that the grievance redressal of citizens would play a key role in public administration and keeping in view the highest priority attached to redressal of public grievances, the government had examined the utility and functionality of the Spandana grievance programme and noticed that the mechanism required complete overhaul.
