AP: Leopard Dies After Being Trapped in Krishna District

Vijayawada: A leopard was found dead in Metlapalli village of Gannavaram mandal in Krishna district, after being caught in a trap set for wild pigs to protect crops.

A local farmer had first spotted the leopard’s movements over a month ago. However, when he informed fellow villagers, his concerns were dismissed as a misunderstanding. Unfortunately, the leopard succumbed to injuries after being trapped.

Upon receiving information about the incident, forest and police department officials visited the site and began collecting details. 

The authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the animal’s death.
