Vijayawada: Social Welfare Minister Dola Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy has emphasized the need for reaching the benefits of various welfare schemes to every eligible individual across the state.

Addressing a review meeting held at the Secretariat on Tuesday, the minister urged officials to shed their complacency and work diligently towards achieving the government's welfare goals. "Welfare schemes form the backbone of our government's commitment to the underprivileged. Their benefits must reach all those who are eligible," he stated.

He called for a campaign to inform the disabled, elderly and transgender communities about the facilities available to them under various welfare schemes.

The minister announced plans to introduce vocational and skill development courses for students. Officials must ensure that students receive textbooks at the start of the school year, he said.
