Vijayawada: Mines Minister Kollu Ravindra has said the government would turn Andhra Pradesh into an industrial hub through its East of Doing Business initiative.
“Establishing industries not only creates job opportunities but also improves the state's economic condition,” the minister said while inaugurating a Business Expo organised by the AP Chamber of Commerce and Industry Federation here on Friday.
Ravindra praised the chamber’s initiative to provide advice and guidance to those wishing to set up industries. He and minister Kondapalli Srinivas, APIIC chairman Mantena Rama Rao, state tourism development corporation chairman Nookasani Balaji and Vijay Dairy chairman Anjaneyulu took a tour of the expo.

Ravindra highlighted the vast resources available in the state, that provided a “favourable environment for industrial growth.” With approximately 900km of coastline, AP can offer ample opportunities for tourism and fisheries sectors as also for agricultural product exports.”
The minister urged the youth to leverage the mineral wealth available in the state to establish more new industrial units.
Kollu Ravindra said, "Vision is crucial for achieving any goal. The Vision 2020 announced by Nara Chandrababu Naidu serves as an example. Many had laughed at the idea of a vision, but today, we are reaping its benefits.”

Major educational institutions like ISB and companies like Microsoft have come to the state, creating millions of job opportunities. AP has transformed significantly since 2014 due to this vision,” he said.
“We recently crafted Vision 2047, focusing on future development and welfare," he noted, adding that the Mallapalli project was, by contrast, an example of the “destructive policies” of the previous administration.
The minister cited Naidu's continuous call to the youths to not just to seek jobs but fashion themselves as job creators. “The construction of a port in the Machilipatnam constituency is nearing completion,” he said and urged young industrialists to invest and set up ancillary units in the region.
"We have conducted a Skill Census in AP with the aim of transforming the state into a knowledge hub. Numerous employment opportunities exist in tourism as well. By investing in these sectors, a plethora of job opportunities would arise,” Ravindra said.
