AP to hold revenue sadassulu: Ramprasad

Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh government will hold ‘Revenue Sadassulu’ (meetings) in villages from September 1 to resolve land-related problems of the locals.

Transport Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy stated this to the media while he was receiving petitions from the public at the TDP head office at Mangalagiri on Monday.

As part of the revenue sadassulu, officials would visit the villages and get to know problems of encroachment of lands, online tampering of land records and other issues. Officials from the rank of district collector to village revenue officer would be present in the villages to accept petitions and attempt to resolve them.

Special attention would be paid to the problems the villagers faced in the last five years, Ramprasad Reddy said.

The transport minister, former legislative council chairman M.A. Sharief and MLC Ashok Babu received petitions from the people at the party office.

Retired teacher G Murali from Chittoor district complained about the encroachment of his land at Madanapalle by the followers of former minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy before the last elections and sought action against the errant. He said officials had failed to act on his complaint in the past.

Shiekh Sayyad Basha from Rayachoti complained about the encroachment of his land at Masapeta village of Rayachoti mandal in Annamayya district. Accordingly, the minister promised to resolve these issues.

Gade Suryanayarayana from Gadevaripalem village of Krosuru mandal in Pedakurapadu assembly segment complained that he as a TDP activist had resisted the pressure to join the YSRC. After this, his work bills were stopped from release while soil was forcibly lifted from his land. He sought release of his dues.
