AP to take decision on aqua farmers: Min.

Kakinada:Energy minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar stated that the state government would make a decision on the issues faced by aqua farmers, as the aqua sector is a key contributor to revenue generation and employment. He convened a meeting with aqua farmers in Bhimavaram, West Godavari district, on Thursday.

During the meeting, aqua farmers requested the Minister to supply quality power and reconsider the seasonal subsidy. The Minister instructed electrical employees to ensure the supply of quality power to hatcheries and to address areas with high power loads. He also directed officials to identify locations for new substations to meet consumer needs.

Additionally, he assured the aqua farmers and hatchery owners that their concerns had been discussed in the Assembly.
