APSPDCL deploys 810 personnel to restore power in Vijayawada

Tirupati: In the wake of heavy rains that have severely disrupted the power infrastructure in Vijayawada and surrounding areas, the Andhra Pradesh Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (APSPDCL) has deployed over 810 personnel to restore services.
Following directives from Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, energy minister Gottipati Ravikumar, and special chief secretary of the energy department K. Vijayanand, power restoration efforts have been intensified.
Chairman and managing director of APSPDCL K. Santosh Rao has been tasked with overseeing the restoration work within Vijayawada city limits. For the past three days, he has been stationed in Vijayawada, guiding officials and staff in their restoration efforts.
Despite the challenges posed by extensive flooding in residential areas, teams are working tirelessly to restore electricity. APSPDCL has deployed a total of 810 personnel, organised into 65 teams, for this massive undertaking.
Speaking about the restoration efforts, The CMD stated that they are currently prioritising the restoration of power services related to drinking water supply and residential connections in Vijayawada city. He assured that they aim to complete the restoration work in the shortest possible time.
