Armed Man Attacks Farmers in Annamayya District

 Anantapur: A person claiming to be the owner of a land attacked farmers tilling lands at Diguva Gottiveedu in Chinna Mandem mandal of Annamayya district on Saturday.

The man Gurujala Paparao terrorised the farmers with a pistol. He went on to beat one of the farmers, Pulagura Sriramulu, who continued to till the land. Hearing the commotion, nearby farmers reached the spot and resisted Paparao. They managed to snatch the pistol and tried to catch him. But Paparao fled from the spot. Farmers have handed over the weapon to police and lodged a complaint with them against Paparao.
