ASR District Receives 17,000 Mosquito Nets As Flood Relief

In response to the urgent need for mosquito nets in ASR district, several organisations have stepped up their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts. Following the initiative of ASR district collector A.S. Dinesh Kumar and Anakapalli district collector Vijaya Krishnan on Wednesday, 11 businesses have pledged to provide a total of 17,000 mosquito nets worth Rs 37.40 lakh. (Twitter)

 Visakhapatnam: In response to the urgent need for mosquito nets in ASR district, several organisations have stepped up their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts. Following the initiative of ASR district collector A.S. Dinesh Kumar and Anakapalli district collector Vijaya Krishnan on Wednesday, 11 businesses have pledged to provide a total of 17,000 mosquito nets worth Rs 37.40 lakh.

Additionally, Toyotsu Company has announced plans to donate an extra 10,000 nets.Anakapalli district administration has facilitated the delivery of 10,000 mosquito nets to Paderu, the district headquarters. In light of the impending Godavari floods, collector A.S. Dinesh Kumar has directed ITDA project officer Apoorva Bharat to prioritise the distribution of 2,500 nets to flood-affected areas, particularly in VR Puram mandal.

To expedite the relief efforts, ASR collector A.S. Dinesh Kumar flagged off a vehicle carrying the mosquito nets from the collectorate. Upon reaching Chintoor, ITDA officials will identify flood victims in VR Puram and ensure that they receive the necessary assistance.
