Vijayawada: Speaker Chintakayala Ayyannapatrudu has asserted that the ongoing Assembly sessions will continue as scheduled, regardless of the absence of YSRC MLAs and former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. He announced that the sessions are set to conclude on the 22nd of this month.

During a meeting with floor leaders in the Assembly, Ayyannapatrudu clarified that the sessions would be conducted without interruptions. The meeting was attended by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, ministers Payyavula Keshav, Nadendla Manohar, and BJP MLA Vishnu Kumar Raju.
Ayyannapatrudu also announced that training sessions for all MLAs would be held on Tuesday in the Assembly's committee hall, focusing on the state Budget. He added that the assembly would convene on Saturday as well with some days split into two parts to accommodate bill discussions and other legislative matters.
Responding to the Speaker, Chandrababu Naidu emphasised that it is the responsibility of all MLAs to engage in meaningful debates on public issues.
Recalling his experience in the 1995 Assembly, Ayyannapatrudu mentioned that there were instances when discussions lasted late into the night. He also revealed that the chief whip and whips would be finalised on Tuesday to ensure full attendance of the MLAs during the ongoing sessions.
