Vijayawada: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has instructed officials to ensure that at least one of the numerous government schemes reaches each family in the state as per the profile of the family members.
Along with this, the CM wanted plans to be prepared in line with the government's goal of having one entrepreneur from every family to reach the goal of “One Family, One Entrepreneur.”
The Chief Minister maintained that by making good use of technology, government schemes can be provided to all the deserving people. He underlined that the responsibility of providing social security and health security to every family lies with the government.
Chandrababu Naidu asserted that Andhra Pradesh will become a poverty-free state if more projects are introduced under People, Public and Private Partnership (P4). He said construction of capital Amaravati is a good example of the P4 project. Another example is installation of solar power units on rooftops of every house under the PM Surya Ghar scheme.
“There is a need to introduce more P-4 projects in the state in this manner,” he stated.
The CM felt there is a need to take necessary assistance from affluent sections. For this, officials should sensitise the corporate sector to offer their services in a philanthropic manner. He suggested that officials approach corporate bigwigs like the Bill-Melinda Gates, Azim Premji, Shiv Nadar and Tata foundations, which are way ahead in charity. He said officials can also take help from NRIs.
The Chief Minister expressed concern over the decreasing fertility rate in the state. “The birth rate in AP is significantly lower than the whole country,” he remarked.
Chief secretary Neerab Kumar Prasad and other senior officers of various departments participated in the meeting.
