This traditional event includes special pujas dedicated to the divine feet of Lord Venkateswara at Srivari Padalu, followed by the installation of new umbrellas.

A significant belief tied to this unique festival is that the winds blow strongly around Narayanagiri hill during this season. To honour and appease the wind god, Vayudeva, new sets of umbrellas (Chatrams) are offered from this highest point on the hill.

The ritual is seen as a way to seek Vayudeva's blessings and protection for the well-being of the devotees and the region. The event draws pilgrims from all over, who will be granted darshan following the rituals, and prasadams will be distributed.
