Anantapur: A team of CID sleuths conducted raids on Tirupati Municipal Corporation on Saturday following a large scale of irregularities in TDR bonds.

It may be noted that the government has ordered a CID probe into the alleged irregularities in the Tirupati Municipal Corporation's Master Plan. The probe was ordered based on a complaint filed by TDP leader Ravi Nayudu, alleging that YSRC party leaders had misused the Master Plan to amass wealth.

On Saturday, CID officials inspected documents related to the master plan in the town planning wing of the corporation. It is alleged that YSRC leaders misused the plan to grab lands worth thousands of crores of rupees. Officials had issued TDR bonds worth around `2,500 crore.

The CID sleuths verified the documents in the town planning section as part of the probe.
