Naidu Promises to Complete All Super-Six Promises
New legislation to deal with social media ‘psychos’: Naidu
Vijayawada: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has clarified that the alliance government is not aiming to complete all tasks in one day, but “we are now setting every system back on track.”
Rounding off the discussion on the state budget in the assembly on Friday, Naidu said the total budget estimates totalled Rs 2.94 lakh crore, more than the figure the previous year. “We have managed to come up with a good budget amid challenging situations,” he said.
The chief minister said blunders were committed by the YSRC government. The heavy debts raised by it and the crimes it committed have now become a curse for the state, he said.
“The alliance government will certainly implement all the Super-Six promises,” Naidu affirmed and said, “We will implement more welfare schemes and programmes.”
The chief minister said legislation will be enacted to “deal firmly with the social media psychos.” He expressed shock at the actions of some people, who “resort to posting highly objectionable comments even on their own mother.” "How can one bad-mouth about their own mother's character, can we call them political leaders," he asked.
Naidu informed the assembly that 300 acres have been allocated for the drone hub, while necessary land has been allotted for the railway zone too. "Very soon, the foundation will be laid by Prime Minister Modi.”
He said the house-warming ceremony will be organised in December for one lakh houses under the mass housing project.
House-sites of two cents each in urban areas and three cents in rural areas will be allotted to the eligible beneficiaries, the chief minister said and made it clear that the state government will create wealth and distribute it to the poor.
Naidu said the previous government resorted to a misinformation campaign that lakhs of crores were needed to be spent to build Amaravati. “This is a self-financing project and about 10,000 acres are still surplus. If this land is sold, the capital city can be built with that money,” he said and added that the previous government neglected this aspect.
He said the growth rate that was 13.5 per cent in 2018-19 fell to 10.6 per cent by 2023-2024.
"With the assistance of the Centre, we have saved the state that was on ventilation and we are moving forward by building an edifice brick by brick," Naidu told the assembly.
Recalling that deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan had stressed that the anti-incumbency votes should not get divided, Naidu said the three-party alliance received a 93 per cent share of the seats.
