Collector announces changes in fee reimbursement payments

Kakinada: East Godavari District Collector P. Prashanthi announced that the state government has modified the payment process for the student fee reimbursement scheme. Under the new system, the government will release funds directly to educational institutions, rather than to the students' mothers' accounts. She emphasized that educational institutions should not trouble students in collecting fees or issuing certificates, as the total fee reimbursement amount will be paid in full to the institutions.
Prashanthi noted that due to the challenges posed by COVID-19, the previous government had been unable to pay fee reimbursements for post-graduate courses from 2020-21. With the state government's recent decision, students can now expect relief in managing their fees.
