Anantapur: The Kadapa court on Friday dismissed the anticipatory bail plea of Y.S. Avinash Reddy’s personal assistant (PA), Raghava Reddy, in connection with abusive social media posts targeting Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Nara Lokesh, Pawan Kalyan, Y.S. Sharmila, and Dr. N. Sunitha. Pulivendula police registered cases against Raghava Reddy based on a confession by Kadapa district YSRC social media co-convener, Varra Ravindra Reddy.

Ravindra Reddy was arrested by Kadapa police and shifted to Bapatla under a transit warrant related to pending cases of similar nature. The Kadapa district police served notices to Raghava Reddy, who had been untraceable for the past 16 days. Notices were also posted at his residence in Pulivendula. Raghava Reddy had approached the Kadapa court seeking anticipatory bail, but the court dismissed his plea.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court bench led by Chief Justice Sanjeev Khanna issued notices to Y.S. Bhaskar Reddy, accused in the former MP Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy murder case. This followed a petition by the CBI seeking the cancellation of the bail granted to Bhaskar Reddy by the Telangana High Court. Both the CBI and Dr. Sunitha, daughter of Vivekananda Reddy, argued that bail cancellation is necessary to prevent undue influence on witnesses in the case.
