They certified the cause of deaths after conducting a post mortem on their bodies on Thursday.

The doctors noticed that all the six dead had suffered a compression on their chest and abdomen as they fell to the ground. Several of the pilgrims were in a mad race. Two female pilgrims --Lavanya and Shanti -- suffered minor injuries. The doctors noticed abrasions on certain parts of their bodies.
The Tirupati district administration had shifted them to the Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences and also to RUIA government general hospital. Subsequently, their bodies were shifted to the Sri Venkateswara Medical College for post-mortem.
The SV Medical College forensic department head, Dr Srinivas Naik, said, “We have received six bodies including five female and one male from both SVIMS and RUIA on Wednesday night.”
