Kakinada: Vice Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTUK), K.V.S.G. Muralikrishna, unfurled the flags of 194 countries recognised by the United Nations at the university on Wednesday. The initiative, titled "Walk with Nations," aimed to unite global diversity.

Badam Sundara Rao, an alumnus, took the initiative for the UNO Flags Icon, inspired by Geneva, Switzerland. Muralikrishna highlighted that JNTUK is the sixth university globally, after Geneva, New York, Seoul, Shanghai, and Santo Domingo, to install these iconic flags.

Each flag features a QR code, providing details about the country’s population, currency, and other information. Muralikrishna expressed that the installation would become a future tourism spot, allowing visitors and students to take selfies with the flags.

The event was attended by University Rector K.V. Ramana, OSD D. Koteswara Rao, and former Vice Chancellors.
