Forest Officials Visit Parvatipuram to Study Elephant-human Conflict

Visakhapatnam: Principal chief conservator of forests Chiranjeevi Chowdhary went to Parvatipuram Manyam district on Monday to assess the elephant-human conflict situation.

Accompanied by conservator of forests Mohammad Diwan Mydeen and district collector Shyam Prasad, the PCCF studied the situation in Pedakuduma village of Jiyyammavalasa mandal.

Farmers voiced their concerns about extensive crop losses and delays in receiving the ex-gratia compensations. The PCCF assured them that the government was actively working to resolve the issues at the earliest.

District forest officer Prasuna and other forest staff were present.
