Former Yerragondapalem MLA David Raju Passes Away

Former legislator Palaparthi David Raju, who had been suffering from a kidney-related ailment for the past three months, has passed away on Sunday night while receiving treatment at a corporate hospital in Hyderabad. He was aged 66. (DC)

 Kurnool: Former legislator Palaparthi David Raju, who had been suffering from a kidney-related ailment for the past three months, has passed away on Sunday night while receiving treatment at a corporate hospital in Hyderabad. He was aged 66.

A native of Mattigunta in Naguluppalpadu mandal of Prakasam district, David Raju had an MA and a BL degree. From his student days, he was actively involved in the Telugu Desam and became a prominent figure in district politics. Over the years, he served as an MPTC, MPP and ZPTC member in Naguluppalpadu mandal and held the positions of ZP chairman and MLA of Yerragondapalem Assembly constituency

On Monday, social welfare minister Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy and Yerragondapalem TD in-charge Guduri Ericson Babu paid their respects to David Raju’s mortal remains at his residence in Ongole.

The minister commended David Raju for his significant contributions to the development of Prakasam district, noting his special services as the ZP chairman and as MLA of Santhanuthalapadu and Yerragondapalem.
