AP: Foundation stone for road and drain projects laid in Saluru

VISHAKHAPATNAM: The foundation stones for the construction of drainage and concrete road worth Rs 63 lakh, were laid here on Sunday under Saluru municipality. Minister for women, child and tribal welfare, Gummidi Sandhya Rani, who was present on the occasion also inaugurated the construction project.
Work on the construction of roads and drains has been undertaken at the Official Colony, Shivaji Centre, and Golla Veedhi in the ward numbers 6, 7, and 8 respectively. The local residents present on the occasion applauded the commencement of the long-pending works.
The minister also announced a pilot project for the supply of potable water to those areas facing scarcity. She further stated that the alliance government was committed to the welfare of public and it would carry development work. Minister Sandhya Rani assured that the projects would be completed by the time the Syamalamba Ammavari Jatara starts.
The minister also offered Pasupu-Kumkum to goddess Desamma Thalli and took prasadam on the occasion.
