Free Sand Is Available From Today

Kakinada:Eluru district collector K. Vetri Selvi said the consumers can get the sand free of cost through booking in the AP Sand Management System portal www.sand.ap.gov.in or by calling the toll-free numbers 1800-425-6025 and 08812-234014 from Friday. She told the reporters in Eluru that the consumers have to bear the transport and other expenses to shift the sand to their places.

She said the consumers could book the sand by logging into the website or by visiting the ward or village secretariats. "So far 141 transporters got registered and three sand reaches are currently available in the district. A total of 29,000 metric tonnes of sand stocks are available in Kukkunuru mandal and the stocks will be sufficient for 29 days," the collector explained.
