Visakhapatnam: The Girijan Cooperative Corporation (GCC) has announced revised coffee procurement prices for the 2024–25 season, benefiting tribal coffee farmers in Andhra Pradesh. The increase aligns with rising coffee prices in international markets.
The updated rates are Rs 320 per kg for Arabica Parchment, Rs 170 per kg for Arabica Cherry, and Rs 100 per kg for Robusta Cherry, compared to the previous rates of Rs 285, Rs 150, and Rs 80 per kg, respectively.
Kidaari Sraawan Kumar, GCC Chairman, reaffirmed the government’s dedication to supporting tribal farmers. He instructed staff to educate farmers about these changes and discourage sales below the minimum rates.
