Vijayawada: A high-level delegation from Germany began a five-day visit to Andhra Pradesh on Monday to explore the state’s natural farming initiatives and promote international interest in India’s sustainable agriculture practices.

The team will visit multiple districts, including Guntur, Krishna, Eluru, and East Godavari, to assess the impact of the Andhra Pradesh Community-Managed Natural Farming (APCNF) program, led by the state’s Rythu Sadhikara Samstha (RySS).

Key highlights of the visit include interactions with local women’s self-help groups (SHGs), who have emerged as crucial drivers of the natural farming movement. The delegation will also evaluate the program’s innovative home nutrition gardens, which have strengthened local food security.

The German team will meet with farmer scientists and mentors who have played a pivotal role in adapting natural techniques to regional needs. These meetings are expected to facilitate knowledge exchange between European and Indian agricultural experts.
