Huge Crowds at Srisailam for Kartheeka Pournami Celebrations

Anantapur: Large crowds of devotees gathered at the Srisailam Lord Mallikarjuna Swamy and Goddess Bramarambhika Temple on Friday to celebrate the auspicious Kartheeka Pournami. The temple authorities, led by the Executive Officer and staff, conducted the significant Jwala Thoranam ritual, where devotees participated in offering lighted lamps to the deity.

Earlier, devotees took a holy dip at the Patalaganga, and priests performed the Harathi for River Krishnamma as part of the Kartheeka Pournami celebrations. Similar ceremonies were held at Shiva and Vishnu temples across the Rayalaseema region, where thousands of devotees participated in lighting deepams at the temples.
