Janasena MLA Nanaji observes deeksha

Kakinada: Taking responsibility for his actions, Kakinada Rural MLA Pantham Venkateswara Rao (Nanaji) observed Prayaschitta Deeksha (atonement) at his residence from 10 am to 4 pm on Monday. The Jana Sena MLA had abused a professor of Rangaraya Medical College on Saturday.
Talking to reporters after ending the deeksha, the MLA said, “I apologised to the professor for my actions. I observed the Prayaschitta Deeksha because no public representative in the future should resort to such attempts. Bad image should not be attributed to our leader Pawan Kalyan or Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu”.
He requested all Telugu Desam, Jana Sena and BJP public representatives not to resort to such acts. He said, “If Pawan Kalyan can observe deeksha for someone else’s mistake in Tirumala laddu’s case, I can observe the same for my mistake.”
Former Kakinada Rural MLA Pilli Anantha Lakshmi, TD leaders Pilli Satyanarayana Murthy, Nurukurthi Venkateswara Rao, Jana Sena leader Sangisetty Ashok and others were present at the deeksha.
He requested all Telugu Desam, Jana Sena and BJP public representatives not to resort to such acts. He said, “If Pawan Kalyan can observe deeksha for someone else’s mistake in Tirumala laddu’s case, I can observe the same for my mistake.”
